Making a Referrals

The JCUS Psychology Clinic accepts referrals directly from individuals, parents/guardians, teachers, school counsellors, doctors, psychologists, social workers, and other allied health professionals.  Parental consent for referral is required for clients who are below the age of 18.

The referral process is simple and direct:

  1. Contact the JCUS Psychology Clinic through the telephone (tel: 6377 6825), fax (fax: 6272 7255) or email (email: psychologyclinic@jcu.edu.sg).
  • Our staff on duty will request your contact details, and a short description of your concerns and needs.  We will let you know if the clinic is able to provide the services you need, and how long it will take before we follow up to discuss an initial appointment.
  1. Within a week to 10 days of your first contact with the clinic, the psychologist who will be working with you will contact you for a first appointment.  If we are not able to provide a service immediately, we will inform you of the estimated waiting time before we can set up the first appointment.  (Referrals are accepted and allocated to psychologists according to their experience and training requirements.  We regret that we are unable to accept requests for a particular psychologist, except for private referrals to members of the clinical team who supervise the work of the psychologists.)
  1. Contact the JCUS Psychology Clinic if you have any other questions, or are unable to attend your appointment.
