Providing Services to the Community

Set up in 2005, the JCU Singapore Psychology Clinic provides a facility for psychologists undergoing advanced training in Clinical Psychology in Singapore.

The JCU Singapore Psychology Clinic offers specialized services for adults, children and families needing assessment and/or short term intervention for social, emotional and/or learning difficulties.

The Clinic aims to work with people of all ages experiencing a wide range of problems that may be causing personal distress and/or having and adverse effect on day-to-day life and relationships.

 

Professional Psychological Practice

Client work in the clinic is undertaken by Trainee Psychologist who are supervised by one of the JCU Singapore clinical team members. Trainee Psychologists are undergoing advanced training in the Masters or Doctoral degree programs at JCU Singapore. The JCU Singapore clinical team has significant experience and training at local and international universities, hospitals and other related agencies.

The postgraduate training undertaken in Singapore is overseen and supported by senior staff at James Cook University which has ten years of experience in the provision of training for Clinical Psychologist.

Work taken in the clinic is in accordance with professional and ethical codes of practise of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Singapore Psychology society (SPS)

 

Making a Referral

For member of Public : there is no need to obtain a referral from a doctor. Please call the clinic or email to make an appointment.

For Medical Practitioner, Psychologist, Allied Health & Education Professionals : Referrals can be made in writing, by fax, or by calling the Clinic.

Fees

A modest fee of SGD $25 - $40 is chargeable regardless of the type of assessment or therapy.
