This is an exciting time in the history of the Singapore campus of James Cook University. Those of
you who have seen the plans for the new campus will, I am sure, share my excitement.

It looks bright, it will be vibrant and it will be a great place to learn. Our new campus will be ready
in July 2008 and we will move there about that time. We will do everything to make that move as
easy for you as possible.

However, I know that some of you may find it difficult to get to the new campus while for others it
will be closer to home. In June, we will have many meetings so I can learn what problems you
students are facing with our move and try to resolve them for you.

This is an exciting time and I hope any disruptions will be outweighed by having a bright new
campus to learn in.
