Step 3:
JCU Singapore will assess your application based upon the academic and English language entry requirements for your preferred degree. If your application is successful, you will receive a Standard Student Contract , Advisory Note and Letter of Offer, together with the instructions for applying for a Student Pass and general information relating to arrivals, pickup services and accommodation options.
Step 4:
Please read the contents of the contract and Terms of Conditions thoroughly and contact your local representative or the JCU Singapore if there are any questions. Orientation programs are normally organised one week before the course commences. Some students may be slightly late due to difficulties in making travel arrangement. Due to CaseTrust requirements, the Standard Student Contract is a mandatory and integral part of the admissions process.
The Standard Student Contract sets out, among other things, the course fees and important parameters such as course start and end dates. As a consequence, assessment of credit transfer for prior learning has to be concluded prior to enrolment. Once the contract is sealed, it becomes binding and irreversible.
For this reason, it is not possible for the Singapore campus to amend the offer or contract once is it in force. It is paramount for students to note this and to lodge the relevant supporting documents at the point of application. It is further advised that students seeking consideration for credit transfer should submit their applications early in order to allow sufficient time for evaluation.
Please download the Credit Transfer Form here.
Students may bring an immediate family member who is a spouse or de-facto partner and/or dependent children. They must obtain separate visas. Please contact the immigration officials at the nearest Singapore Embassy in your home country for detailed information. Alternatively, you can visit www.ica.gov.sg for more information.
Obtaining visas for dependent family members can take longer to arrange than a student pass.
Family members can visit students by applying for holiday visas. Please refer to www.ica.gov.sg for more details. (Please note that citizens of certain countries do not require a visa and it is best to check with your own travel agent about this).
You have selected your course, accepted the place offered, now what?
For new students there is a whole range of activities in which to learn about University life and our Campus. The Student Service Centre provides an orientation program for all new students in the week before classes start.
This will help familiarise you with the campus facilities, administrators and their roles, academic requirements, rules and regulations of the University, different student services. It is also a great time to meet other new students from the many other courses at the University and start some great friendships.
