Biography
Dr. Emiel Eijdenberg is a Senior Lecturer and the Singapore Director of the Centre for International Trade and Business in Asia (CITBA). Dr. Eijdenberg is also Visiting Fellow at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Dr. Eijdenberg’s research interests are about entrepreneurs(hip) in emerging countries. Dr. Eijdenberg is particularly interested in the personal attributes of entrepreneurs and how these attributes are related to the sustainable growth of their businesses. Dr. Eijdenberg’s work has been presented at international management conferences such as AoM, ANZAM, ESU, EURAM, ICSB and RENT. See for Dr. Eijdenberg’s publications: Scholar Google profile.
For research and consulting projects, Dr. Eijdenberg has secured in collaboration with others more than € 500,000 in funding from multiple organisations such as the Dutch organisation of internationalisation in education (NUFFIC), Volkswagen Foundation and World Wide Fund for Nature. In these projects, Dr. Eijdenberg is involved as an expert for short and long-term assignments in sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, South Asia and Southeast Asia.
