Biography
Esther is an education developer with work experience across three continents, a postgraduate degree in architecture and a background in multimedia education. Her focus is on flexible, innovative support for authentic learning in blended and online environments.
As the Educational Designer for the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology at the University of Queensland, Australia she contributed to the development of learning technologies to support large class teaching and to personalise the learning experience for students in these classes. Within the Centre for eLearning Innovations and Partnerships in Science and Engineering (eLIPSE) she supported a range of innovation projects with development of learning analytics tools, methodologies and infrastructure.
At Charles Darwin University (Australia), Esther collaborated in her role as Educational Designer in the Academic Development Team with vocational education lecturers across campuses in the Northern Territory to develop effective blended and online learning environments.
She is originally from Germany where she taught computer-aided design (CAD) and multimedia at media GmbH Stuttgart. Esther also worked as a curriculum developer for a multimedia TVET program for the Ministry of Education in Botswana.
