Butterworth 8 is located in the Paya Lebar area. The nearest MRT stations are Paya Lebar MRT and Dakota MRT. Both stations are about 15 minutes walk away from the accommodation. Students can take a bus (Bus 134) to the campus from the nearby bus stop after Queen of Peace Church, Tanjong Katong Road. Alight at Block 45, Sims Drive, 7 stops later, and walk 5 minutes to the campus. The journey will take about 25 minutes. Journey from the campus to accommodation is about the same duration. Students will have to walk to the bus stop at Sims Place Terminal and take a bus (Bus 134). Alight 8 stops later at the bus stop at CDAC Building along Tanjong Katong Road. From there, it will be about a 5 minute walk to the accommodation.

Access to Butterworth 8 is by access card. There is a 24/7 guard post at the main entrance and CCTV located at various access points of the accommodation. There are various facilities at Butterworth 8, such as a pool, a gym, and BBQ pits. These are maintained by the service crew provided at Butterworth 8. Students can access their unit by taking the lifts.

Each room comes with an air-condition, study table, and wardrobe. Vitae provides weekly housekeeping for the common areas of the unit. Students are responsible for their room cleanliness.
