CITBA Webinar Series #3 – Big Data and Machine Learning for Business Analytics

When: 16 August 2022, 11am to 12pm
Location:Online Webinar

The tsunami of data has led to trending discussions in the media, at universities and in companies. Many discussions address the analytical tools and methods that can unravel meaningful patterns from unorganized lakes of data. It will be argued that machine learning at its core is either a grouping of entities, e.g., customers, consumers or even parts of a text, or alternatively aims to find variables useful to predict specific events, such as product purchases, defaults on loans or customers defections. The relevance of categorization and predicting will be discussed next to more advanced techniques such as AI.
