Dr. Denise Dillon
Head of Academic Group Psychology and Education
Dr Denise Dillon is the Head of Academic Group Psychology and Education at the Singapore campus of James Cook University (JCU). She has accumulated years of experience in South-East Asia since moving to Singapore in May 2008, after completing her PhD at the JCU Cairns campus. As Head of Academic Group, Dr Dillon's role includes responsibility for leading a team of academic staff and providing academic guidance and graduate studies advice to students in the undergraduate and clinical postgraduate Psychology programs and the Bachelor of Education, Master of Education, and Master of Guidance and Counselling programs.
Dr Dillon has extensive supervisory experience in fourth-year and graduate research, having supervised dozens of fourth-year Honours and Graduate Diploma students and Masters and Doctoral-level psychology students to completion.
Dr Dillon is the Managing Editor of the Journal of Tropical Psychology. She is a full member of the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) and a member of the Association for the Study of Literature & Environment (ASLE).
