Overview

Career management and development has become essential than ever before, in today's world of Protean Career path. This session provides key insights on career development model and approach toward developing a career as an academic. Also, significance of entrepreneurial mindset in identifying research opportunities, achieving excellence in the classroom, and building a strong professional portfolio are discussed. The presentation and discussions would help participants design their own path to success.

Mr Raihan Taqui Syed is passionate about building society-centric entrepreneurial higher educational institutions and assisting start-ups to strategize and internationalize, based on his international exposure, industry experience and professional competencies. He has over 12 years of teaching, training, research, administrative, advising  and consulting experience in the areas of Entrepreneurship Development, Management, Strategy and Organizational Change spread across Europe, India, Middle East, South Asia & UK.


Mr Raihan possesses high cultural quotient having studied, worked and travelled across more than 20 countries. He has over 20 publications to his credit in indexed journals, books and international conferences. More importantly, he is a proud alumnus of James Cook University, Singapore Campus (MBA, 2011). He holds another master’s degree focused on Education Management and Innovation from University of Granada, Spain. Also, he is in the final stage of his doctoral program focused on Entrepreneurial Higher Education Institutions and Organizational Change at University of Bradford, UK (expected to complete this year).
