Biography
As part of her doctoral research, Pamela aims to understand the experiences of mainland Chinese students undergoing English for Academic Purposes education in Singapore. Pamela is a Senior Teacher at the JCU Language School Singapore, and she believes in giving students ownership of their learning. As such, her study aims to elucidate the processes and factors involved in students’ experience of learning English so that challenges or limitations with current approaches will be identified, and recommendations for enhancements to the existing program and the classroom approach can be made.
Thesis Title
Mainland Chinese students’ experience of learning English at a Transnational Higher Education Institution in Singapore.
