SG60 Ang Ku Kueh Mosaic

We are cooking up a celebration like no other. Students, staff and residents nearby will come together in a hands-on cultural experience—crafting traditional Ang Ku Kuehs and assembling them into a striking 1.9-metre-wide mosaic in the shape of Singapore island. This edible artwork is more than a culinary challenge; it’s a heartfelt tribute to heritage, unity, and the vibrant flavours of our nation.

Guided by tradition and fuelled by collective spirit, participants will learn the intricate art of Ang Ku Kueh making—a beloved local delicacy symbolising longevity and prosperity. As the mosaic takes shape, so too does a shared sense of purpose and pride. With this initiative, the university also aims to enter the Singapore Book of Records (SBOR) for the largest Ang Ku Kueh art installation—turning a celebration into a meaningful milestone.

Through this unique project we not only commemorate a national milestone but also deepens its connection with the community, celebrating the joy of togetherness and the beauty of tradition.

We would like to thank Kueh Ho Jiak and SBOR for the support.
