From the Desk of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor

“As we celebrate Singapore’s 60th year of independence, James Cook University (Singapore Campus) proudly reflects on our own journey as part of this vibrant and resilient nation. Since our establishment here, we have been deeply committed to contributing to the community through education, research, and engagement. SG60 is not only a national milestone - it’s also a powerful reminder of the shared aspirations, diversity, and spirit that bind us together.
Our vision is to continue fostering a university culture that goes beyond the classroom - one that is grounded in real-world impact, inclusivity, and sustainability. We strive to be a trusted partner in Singapore’s ongoing development and a catalyst for innovation, wellbeing, and environmental responsibility.
Over the years, we have taken pride in leading and supporting initiatives that contribute meaningfully to society. These initiatives have created platforms for students to develop leadership, empathy, and cross-cultural understanding, while also giving back to the community that we are proud to be a part of.
As we mark SG60, we honour the resilience and unity that define Singapore’s journey - and renew our commitment to contributing to its next chapter. James Cook University (Singapore Campus) will continue to support national goals through meaningful partnerships, sustainable action, and inclusive education.
We are grateful for the opportunities to learn, grow, and serve here in Singapore. And we look forward to building a shared future defined
by knowledge, connection, and progress.”
