Professor Emmanuel Adegbite

Emmanuel Adegbite is a visiting Professor of  Governance and Management. His widely cited research on corporate governance, corporate social responsibility and corporate finance, has been published in world leading academic and professional outlets. His research has received prestigious awards, and in collaboration with others, has secured close to £500,000 in funding. Emmanuel works closely with businesses, NGOs and governments in promoting corporate accountability, especially in emerging and developing economies.







Associate Professor Wang Pengji

Wang Pengji

Dr. Wang is an active researcher in the areas of corporate governance, international business and sustainable business practice. Much of her research aims to bridge the understanding between East and West, through refining theories developed in the West to Eastern contexts and/or comparing firms’ and individuals’ behaviours between East and West. Her research has been published in top ranked journals such as International Business Review, Journal of Business Ethics, Management and Organization Review, Corporate Governance: An International Review, etc.

Dr. Wang teaches business courses related to Marketing and Management at the MBA level and Economics for undergraduates.






Associate Professor Huiping Zhang

Associate Professor Huiping Zhang

Associate Professor Huiping Zhang joined JCU Singapore in Sep 2015. She teaches business courses such as Accounting and Finance for Managers at the MBA level and Business Data Analysis and Interpretation and Multinational Business Finance for undergraduates.  Her research focuses on the effects of liquidity on asset returns, return co-movement, and empirical asset pricing in the international stock markets. She has published several articles in the high-quality finance journals such as Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Empirical Finance, and the Financial Review.

Prior to her joining of JCU Singapore, she was an Associate Professor in Finance at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in China, where she worked as an Assistant Professor in Finance from Sep 2011 to Jun 2015.





Associate Professor Chris Durden
Associate Professor, Business

Associate Professor Chris Durden

Chris is an Associate Professor of Accounting from the JCU Cairns campus and is currently on secondment at the Singapore campus. He has a PhD in management accounting from Massey University in New Zealand and has also completed an undergraduate degree in economics and a master’s in accounting. Prior to commencing with JCU in Cairns in 2006, Chris held academic posts with the University of Waikato (NZ), the University of Southern Queensland and Massey University (NZ). His primary teaching expertise is management accounting at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. He also has extensive experience teaching management accounting and financial management to Executive MBA students. Chris is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) and prior to commencing an academic career he worked in the oil and pharmaceutical industries, holding both accounting and operational roles.

Chris has published in a range of leading accounting journals including Critical Perspectives on Accounting, Accounting Education: An International Journal, Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, Journal of Accounting Education and Advances in Accounting Behavioral Research.
