Dr Hutchinson’s research focuses on how mobile organisms utilize often heavily impacted coastal habitats, such as mangroves and seagrass beds. He is currently examining the ecology of mesopredators, including bamboo sharks, in these systems. He has over 15 years of experience working in marine ecology in tropical and temperate systems and co-ordinates the Bachelor of Business and Environmental Science program at JCU.
