Many population centres are pursuing smart city initiatives to improve efficiency, quality of life and environmental aspects of city living. As smart technologies become increasingly widespread in cities, what cybersecurity risks do the public, businesses and governments face? This session explores this question from the perspectives of an academic and an industry expert and provides a platform for discussing research opportunities to address some of these issues.

He has a PhD from the University of Bristol, UK on predicting the energy consumption of embedded software, and industry experience in building cybersecurity products for industrial IoT and large-scale smart home solutions. |
