In celebration of International Women’s Day, join us to explore how women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises can strategically apply artificial intelligence to drive growth, efficiency, and resilience. Using the EMPOWER Framework, the presentation focuses on practical, step-by-step guidance to help women-led MSMEs adopt and apply artificial intelligence in their businesses. It covers how to identify business needs, choose suitable AI tools, organise resources, test solutions, and improve business performance in a structured and manageable way.

![]() | Dr Tan Kim Lim Senior Lecturer, Business, James Cook University (Singapore Campus) Dr Tan Kim Lim is currently a Senior Lecturer with James Cook University (Singapore Campus). Investigating the principles of human resource development and management, Kim Lim’s research seeks to create actionable interventions with impact to create sustainable and behavioural changes concerning the most pressing issues in organisations. His research interests lie primarily in contemporary issues such as on future of work, employee attitudes, and employee behaviours. Other than empirical research, Kim Lim has been commissioned with several applied research from government agencies to private organizations. He has also been invited as a speaker in several regional conferences sharing his insights on tourism trends, employment trends, and the future of work. |
![]() | Dr Nurhafihz Noor Senior Lecturer, Business, James Cook University (Singapore Campus) Dr Nurhafihz Noor is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at James Cook University (Singapore Campus) and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Quality and Service Sciences (Emerald) and the Journal of Tropical Futures (Sage). Ranked among the top 200 scholars globally in the area of AI service robots (SciVal: #123), he has produced over 50 publications across services marketing, technology adoption, halal and hospitality. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CMktr FCIM), the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI), and the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), he brings a decade of industry experience and advises various organizations. He has received multiple awards for teaching, research, and service, underscoring his impact and thought leadership in emerging global markets. |

Much of her research aims to bridge the understanding between East and West, through refining theories developed in the West to Eastern contexts and/or comparing firms’ and individuals’ behaviours between East and West. Her research has been published in top ranked journals such as International Business Review, Journal of Business Ethics, Management and Organization Review, Corporate Governance: An International Review, etc. Dr. Wang teaches business courses related to Marketing and Management at the MBA level and Economics for undergraduates. |

She has served clients across both the government and private sectors in Singapore and other ASEAN countries covering Healthcare, Security, Automotive, Education & Lifestyle. She is Singapore’s Top 100 Women in Technology 2023 awarded by the Singapore Computer Society, in partnership with SG Women in Tech and Infocomm Media Development Authority where the list recognises and celebrates women based in Singapore who have been inspiring and have made significant contributions to the Tech industry. Her A.I-driven company Parrot Social has recently been Globally Accredited as a Women-Owned Enterprise by WEConnect International. She is a thought leader and contributes to key national committees and writes for local & regional media covering topics such as A.I, digital transformation, Data Analytics, Agentic A.I and the Internet of Things. Hamidah is also an Adjunct Lecturer for a Sentiment Analytics & Social Media Masters programme at the Singapore University of Technology & Design. |
