Biography
Dr Thanh Nguyen was awarded a PhD degree in 2016 from Griffith University, Australia. Before doing a PhD, she worked in the Trade Finance Department of a commercial bank in Vietnam for 8 years, initially as an officer working his way up to a managerial position. After getting a PhD degree, Dr Thanh Nguyen worked at the Vietnamese-German University before moving to Singapore and she had delivered several courses in banking and finance, such as Financial Institute Management, Security Valuation, International Finance, Corporate Finance, and Applied Econometrics.
Dr Thanh Nguyen published several articles in high-ranking international journals, such as Empirical Economics, Applied Economics, Australian Economic Papers, Managerial Finance, etc. She also a reviewer for several journals, including Economic Modelling, International Review of Financial Analysis and China Finance Review International.
Research Interests
Bank performance (e.g., efficiency, competition, risk, diversification, innovation, and management behaviour), income inequality.
