Ms. Chua Kah Lin

- Master of Science, Clinical Psychology, 1991, University College London
Biography
Kah Lin is currently working as a Psychology Placement Coordinator at JCU Singapore. Her duties include overseeing the clinical placement of postgraduate Clinical Psychology students. She also conducts the Professional Issues Seminar class. Until recently, she held the responsibility of running the JCU Psychology Clinic, which included group and individual supervision of postgraduate students.
Before a hiatus of eight years, Kah Lin worked in private practice in Singapore from 1995 to 2000, with adult and child populations dealing with disorders ranging from anxiety, depression to parenting issues.
Previously, Kah Lin worked in the NHS in the UK, in both adult mental health and child settings, from 1991 to 1994.
Research Interests
Kah Lin's past research included topics on:
- Child rearing practices and parenting skills in Singapore
- Psychological adjustment of children to life events
