Biography

Dr Kai Qin Chan is a social psychologist who studies how emotions work. Of all emotions, he has particular interest in how disgust shapes behaviours that have general health and public health consequences. He is also strongly interested in using psychological insights to solve real world social and behavioural problems. He founded and headed the department of psychology at Ashoka University, India, before joining James Cook University as Senior Lecturer in 2018.
