James Cook University (JCU) in Singapore signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 11 June 2022 with Ocean Purpose Project (OPP), a Singaporean social enterprise committed to driving ocean conservation and plastic pollution prevention via disruptive and creative projects. This is an important event to mark both the United Nation’s International Day of the Tropics 2022 and World Oceans Day 2022. It demonstrates JCUS’ ongoing commitment to sustainability by promoting knowledge and awareness on sustainability and aquaculture to deepen the community’s understanding of ocean conservation and prevention of ocean pollution.
