Dr. Zilmiyah Kamble is working with James Cook University, Singapore as a lecturer in Hospitality and Tourism. She brings in a wealth of experience both in the tourism industry and academics, which she truly shares with her students. She has work experience that spans over 13 years across five different countries (UK, Seychelles, India, Malaysia and currently Singapore).  Her academic experience has been in the areas of Tourism, Events and Hospitality management courses at both Undergraduate and Post-graduate levels. Apart from teaching, she has led curriculum development teams and as well as been a member of the board of studies in approving and developing tourism and hospitality courses at different levels. She is also actively involved with leading journals as a reviewer of research papers and gained experience through membership of the scientific committees for conferences. Her diverse research interests include tourism planning and development, tourism social cultural impacts, responsible tourism, sustainable tourism, social cohesion and social capital through tourism. Prior to joining JCU, she was working as an assistant professor in tourism and hospitality and program leader for the Master’s programme in tourism at Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal, India.
