Biography
Dr. Fanny Yasumaru is currently a Senior Lecturer (Aquaculture) in the School of Science and Technology at James Cook University, Singapore campus. She is specialized in the field of aquaculture nutrition, mainly in vivo and in vitro nutrient digestibility, having worked with both marine and freshwater species, such as whiteleg shrimp, tilapia, rainbow trout, and cobia. Additionally, she has conducted studies on feed formulation for mud crab, and managed research trials for private companies. Dr. Yasumaru serves at the editorial board of the journal Critical Insights in Aquaculture and ad hoc reviewer for other journals such as Aquaculture, Aquaculture Research, and Reviews in Fisheries Science & Aquaculture. Also, she is the student director (2022-2025) for the Asian-Pacific Chapter of the World Aquaculture Society (WAS - APC).
