- Master of Education (Early Childhood Education), Queensland University of Technology, 2002 to 2004;
- Bachelor of Arts in Education, Washington State university, Majors: Elementary Education (K to grade 8), Minor: Choral Endorsement, 1990–1993
Biography
Elaine has more than 20 years of experience working with children and adults across various settings, as an early childhood educator, curriculum specialist, centre director, curriculum director, practicum supervisor, consultant and tertiary educator.
Elaine was also involved on a project to research on the impact of a programme on Village Early Education Centres. (VEEC) in China. She has engaged with the broader scholarly and professional communities so as to contribute to the development, planning and implementation of an interdisplinary preschool curriculum, including support for children from disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly in the use of technology to support children’s learning in remote areas.
She has worked collaboratively with projects partners from China, Sri Lanka, India and Mongolia with great initiative and commitment.
