Qualifications
- Master of Arts (MA), Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching, Nottingham University, 2009 - 2010
- Bachelor of Education (BA), Kinesiology, University of Victoria, 1994 - 1997
Biography
Although I was born in Canada, I have been teaching and working in Asia for over 20 years. During that time, I have primarily taught English at various levels in four countries: Korea, Japan, China and Singapore, In terms of English for Academic Purposes (EAP), I have almost 10 years of experience in both Higher Education (HE) and International Baccalaureate (IB) school settings.
Research Interests
I am interested in the study of World Englishes. In particular, the evolution of how English is used in various sociolinguistic contexts across the world, including Singapore.
