Qualifications

• Jim Tan holds a degree in Business Administration from RMIT and a Masters degree in Business Administration from James Cook University.
• He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and a senior member with the American Society for Quality.
• He is also a Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence with the American Society for Quality.

Biography

Jim has been with JCU Singapore since 2004 and has over 22 years of experience in a varied range of activities in the training and education industry. Over the course of his years with JCU Singapore, he has handled Lecturer management, course management, Admission processes, certification matters for the operation of the business such as CaseTrust, Singapore Quality Class Star, registrations with Ministry of Education, Committee for Private Education and the Immigration Checkpoint Authority. Jim also managed the broad spectrum of Human Resource activities. Jim also conducted Business Excellence assessments organised by the SPRING Singapore then before the discontinuation of the Business Excellence scheme. Jim was instrumental on promoting quality excellence in JCU Singapore, having mapped out a continuous improvement journey for the campus and has been credited with the string of quality related accreditations that JCU Singapore has achieved. The campus has achieved the EduTrust Star (the first private education institution to do so), Singapore Quality Class Star, ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and CaseTrust certifications. Jim currently heads the Internal Audit office in the campus.
