HLMC @ East Lodge Hostel
East Lodge Hostel is situated in the East Coast area, in the midst of private residential areas. It comprises of Two Blocks with 1 Block of 3-Storey and 1 Block of 4-Storey Building. Their Hostel is well equipped to house about 300 students. They house from various countries like India, China, Vietnam and Korean. They provide various rooms available for your preferences. The rooms available are Quad Sharing (4in1), Twin Sharing (2in1) & Single Rooms.
The closest MRT station is Kembangan MRT, which is about 15 minutes’ walk from the hostel. Students can take train at Kembangan MRT and alight 3 stops later at Aljunied MRT. It will be another 15 minutes’ walk from Aljunied MRT to the campus. Total journey is about 40 minutes. Alternatively, students can take a 5 minute walk towards Telok Kurau Road and board a bus (Bus 155), alight at opposite Geylang Polyclinic along Geylang East Central, 9 stops later. At the same bus stop, board another bus (Bus 134) and alight at Block 45, Sims Drive, 3 stops later. It will take another 5 minutes’ walk to reach campus. Total journey is about 45 minutes.
Access to the hostel is via access cards and keys to the room. As there is no lifts, students are to take the stairs to access to their rooms. The admin office is operational on weekdays and Saturdays at their working hours. Students can approach the staffs for assistance during those periods. At night, there will be a night guard on duty. CCTV is only installed at the first level around the admin office. Students can choose to use the washer and dryer located at the first floor. Each wash cost $4 and drying cost $1 depending on the size of the laundry. For facilities, there is a basketball court and a small gym for students to use.
In each room, each student will be provided with a study table and a small personal locker. Air conditioning is only available in the rooms and not common areas. Housekeeping at the common areas will be done on a daily basis. However, housekeeping in each room shall be liable by the student.
