Getting Started with SPSS
SPSS stands for “Statistical Package for the Social Sciences”, but it is more than that. It is commonly used across disciplines, including Psychology and Business. In this workshop, you will learn the different components of SPSS, enter new data, create new variables, basic data cleaning, and run basic descriptive statistics. Previous knowledge of statistics or data analysis is not required.

Simple and Multiple Regression Analysis
This is a basic workshop which aims to introduce the concepts and applications of and assumption testing for simple and hierarchical multiple regression analyses. This workshop is designed specifically for students in the psychology honours/graduate diploma degree programs as well as in the business and psychology master’s degree programs. It is also suitable for students in other study programs who would like to strengthen their knowledge of basic regression analysis and to have hands-on experience in conducting the analysis in SPSS.

The Stats Camp by Learning Centre SP53 2023
The Stats Camp is initiated to provide students with attentive and continuous assistance from Learning Advisors. Students will be provided with plenty of face-to-face opportunities to seek help or ask questions on relevant topics. Seminar discussion on a variety of statistical and research-related topics will be offered.
The camp seminar programs are designed specifically for students in the psychology honours and graduate diploma degree programs as well as in the psychology/health postgraduate degree programs. It is also suitable for students in other study programs who would like to learn about mediation and moderation analyses. However, attendees are required to have basic knowledge in hierarchical multiple regression analysis prior to attending the camp seminars.
Camp Program 1 Mediation Analysis using PROCESS Macro:
- 10 am – Camp 1 starts
- 10 - 10.45 am – Seminar session 1 'Simple linear mediation model’
- 10.45 – 11.30 am – Seminar session 2 'Models with multiple mediators’
- 11.30 am – Break
Camp Program 2 Moderation Analysis using PROCESS Macro:
- 11.45 am – Camp 2 starts
- 11.45 – 12.30 pm – Seminar session 3 'Simple linear moderation model’
- 12.30 – 1 pm – Seminar session 4 'Models with multiple moderators’
- 1 pm – Camp closed
